Making-of – what our photo shoot has to do with face yoga and table soccer.

Please smile – turn your head a little more to the left – come on, show me your chocolate side! Click, flash and the next pose follows.

A look behind the scenes at our photo shoot. And how we discovered our new skills “face yoga”, “foosball playing” and “soap posing”.

We started the day at eight o’clock in the morning at the Westhive in Zug. The man in the house, Matthias, is not only a master with numbers, but also a reliable supplier of croissants. Another double espresso to keep us fresh and sharp in the morning, and then we’re ready for the storm of flashing lights.

Face yoga with Elke

Meanwhile, our photographer, Barbara Müller, takes a look at the Westhive and sets up the first location. Once we’ve touched up and powdered, put on our outfits and we’re ready to go. We start with the portrait shots of our boss Elke. It turns out that as long as Elke doesn’t have to smile, she’s happy to take photos! And so Elke offers us a whole range of facial expressions on a silver platter – at the touch of a button – thoughtful, annoyed, happy, self-confident. Elke changes positions as skillfully and quickly as if she were also offering facial yoga on the side.

In the meantime, our small office has been transformed into a slightly chaotic ladies’ dressing room. Ten different high heels in one corner, blazers and blouses in mint green, white, beige and olive green in the other. Powder, lipstick and hairbrush laid out on the sideboard – too much women’s stuff for our poor Matthias – he fled.

Professional soccer player with a killer wrist flick

And still, he had to let himself get “powdered” (make-up!), because the next step was to take team photos on the rooftop terrace. Once everyone was nicely positioned on the stairs, then casually posed on the railing like in a cheesy soap and then off to the foosball table – because that’s one of our favorite things to do during the lunch break. What Alina didn’t know as our newest team member: Matthias, who she picked as her teammate for the game”, is a former professional soccer player. He is particularly talented with his feet in the right place, but also pretty swift with his hands on the spinning sticks. So of course the two of them won hands down and Elke was immediately able to unpack her typical Elke facial expressions. Thanks to Barbara, we captured the whole scene!

On a mission with Jocy

Snapshots of snapshots. Of course, we didn’t want to leave the day and the making-of undocumented. So we all took photos of the shoot from time to time. Our Jocy is super photogenic, which is why she needed by far the least amount of time for the pictures and therefore had more time to snap pictures from us. This resulted in the most hilarious poses:

With lots of laughter and slightly sore muscles in our faces, we ended our day of shootings. Stay tuned for our new pictures!

Until soon,
