Purpose, Perspective and Personality

Our client, the JURA Materials Group, is part of the international CRH Group – one of the world’s leading providers of building materials. In Switzerland, JURA Materials employs around 700 people across multiple locations. The company is currently undergoing a major transformation, with Human Resources playing a pivotal role in shaping this transformation. We have been exclusively retained to fill this key leadership position. And let’s be clear: we’re not just looking for an HR professional. We’re searching for a driven leader with a clear vision, resilience, and real ability to execute. Someone who stays confident and focused through complex change, inspires people, and boldly rethinks HR – from structures to culture – with a focus on long-term impact. You combine leadership strength, expertise, strategic clarity, and emotional intelligence. You think analytically, engage as an equal – and you’re here to make a difference.

Tasks

  • Realign, lead, and further develop the group-wide HR organisation, including the leadership of a team of approximately 15 employees
  • Drive and implement transformation and change initiatives – particularly in the areas of centralisation, shared service centre development, digitalisation, structural and process optimisation, and post-merger integration
  • Design and embed modern HR structures such as the HR Business Partner model, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and strategic talent & leadership programs
  • Act as a strategic sparring partner to the executive management, ensuring that HR perspectives are considered early in business decisions
  • Take ownership of strategic workforce planning and data-driven HR analytics
  • Ensure compliance with group-wide HR policies, labour law standards, and internal control frameworks

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field – ideally with a focus on HR or equivalent professional certification
  • 15+ years of experience across various HR functions, including 5–8 years in senior leadership roles managing teams of +10
  • Proven track record in leading HR transformation initiatives, building shared services and Centers of Excellence, driving organizational and process redesign, implementing strategic workforce analytics, and ideally managing post-merger integrations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach, inspiring leadership presence, strong interpersonal skills, resilience, intercultural sensitivity, and digital affinity
  • Fluency in German and strong proficiency in English; French is a plus
  • Industry experience in construction, heavy industry, or related sectors is a significant advantage
